Why study Theology?

Personal Growth
Studying theology is not only intellectually stimulating but offers a chance for personal growth and self-discovery. By understanding different religious beliefs and practices, students are able to expand their horizons and gain a deeper insight into spirituality and values.

Critical Thinking and Analysis
Theology is an academic discipline that emphasises critical thinking, analysis, and reflection. Students gain skills in research, analysis, interpretation, and communication, equipping themselves with skills that are valuable in many professions.

Serve the Community
Theology provides opportunities to serve the community and make a positive difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s through pastoral work, social activism, or faith-based initiatives, studying theology prepares students for work that makes a genuine impact on the lives of others.

Interdisciplinary Skills
Theology is an interdisciplinary field, drawing from philosophy, history, literature, ethics, and many other disciplines. Students can acquire skills across various fields, giving themselves the ability to be an adaptable and well-rounded individual with the capacity to contribute to different professions.
